Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is loud, busy, and full of miracles. I want to students gain confidence and feel at ease within their learning environment.
Every morning we start off on a positive vibe allowing each student to choose a preferred activity to engage in with their peers as we do our morning greetings.
I work with autistic students.
My students are each very unique in their own sort of way. It takes time, patience and dedication to learn about each students' strengths and weakness. I feel that in order to truly understand and make progress you must form a bond of trust that will enable you to meet their needs.
My school is a place that welcomes students and families, and tries to go above and beyond in assisting or guiding families to the necessary resources. I have been blessed with so much positive support and the opportunity to grow as an educator and a person.
My Project
My students require a significant amount of structure throughout the day. It is imperative that activities are organized and set up for easy access.
The room dividers I am requesting are to set up work stations for independent work. Independent work stations maximize one to one teacher time and reinforces routines. I will use the storage system with bins to organize independent work tasks that will be used daily throughout the year. The teaching table will be used daily for small group instruction. This table will allow closely guided instruction.
The donations to this project will have a huge impact on my classroom and how it functions.
I strongly believe that these supplies will maximize the function of my room and instruction. My students greatly depend on structured environments. Ultimately my students learning will be greatly enhanced.
