Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are hard working individuals that come from low income families that struggle at times in understanding difficult material. All of my students want to attend college or a trade school after high school.

My students want to learn in an environment that is warm and inviting.

New classroom lighting will achieve this.

Some of them learn best from hearing the material, some learn best by hands on projects, and others learn best from listening to the material(sometimes over and over again).

My Project

This project is going to make a difference in my classroom because it is going to help make my classroom more of an inviting and relaxing environment for my students to learn and grow as students.

Working in an environment that is relaxing and inviting is key to learning.

My students will also be able to use the different color expo markers when they are learning to make their projects come alive. The school lights are awful, and my students would prefer to have them shut off instead of on because they cause them headaches. The room is so sterile with our current lighting.
