This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This specific item will make a difference in my student's learning by exposing them to real-life challenges that feel insufferable. This item will give my students the opportunity to read and connect to problems they may feel disconnected from and create empathy towards struggles often shown under the surface for many.

The goal of this project is to help students understand the components of a nonfiction text and the similarities faced among common struggles.

With this item, students will explore complex themes and explore how their lives can connect with others.

What makes my students special is their interest and engagement in wanting to learn about others. My students are willing to learn and strive to become better learners.
