My Students

I teach in a diverse school consisting of over 450 students in Kindergarten thru 5th grade.
Due to current budget limitations our music budget has decreased but our need for various musical supplies to teach our curriculum has remained the same. My students are in need of various classroom instruments to support our rhythm reading. I am also starting a bucket drum curriculum with my 5th grade students and are in need of the drumsticks to support this new initiative.
My Project
Rhythm sticks would allow students to reinforce their rhythmic literacy skills, as well as improve their improvisation skills in a fun and economically efficient way. By allowing every students to have an instrument in their hands we can help to foster teamwork and listening skills which are a valuable tool that can be applied to all aspects of life.
By supporting this project you will help ensure that students have a hands-on experience in class and allow them to put their music literacy skills into practice.
