What I Love About My Students

Our school's diverse student body, representing various countries and cultures, creates a unique and enriching learning environment.

We embrace diversity through multilingual resources, Integrated Co-Teaching classrooms, and alternative assessment methods like PBATs, ensuring equitable learning opportunities. This tailored approach allows students to demonstrate their learning effectively, fostering a deeper understanding of subjects.

How Each Resource Will Help Them Learn

The lead guitars, Epiphone Les Paul and Ibanez, will enable students to explore melodies and roles in compositions, enhancing their musical creativity. With the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio Pack, students will learn recording and editing skills, preparing them for diverse opportunities in the music industry. Gig bags and acoustic guitar strings will maintain guitars donated in previous projects, ensuring long-term access to instruments.

How Will The Items Make a Difference in Their Learning

The requested resources will boost student engagement, motivation, and creativity through diverse musical exploration. Collaborative learning fosters idea-sharing and growth. Operating multiple instruments allows students to draw parallels, deepening understanding. Personal experience shows learning one instrument enhances comprehension of others. These tools will contribute to a holistic learning experience, increasing enthusiasm for school and developing skills applicable to core classes.

What Are My Goals

My goal is to empower students to approach music from diverse angles, fostering creative expression. As they progress, they'll better express themselves creatively, drawing from unique life experiences. I aim to explore interdisciplinary connections, aligning music with core subjects like ELA and computer science. Hands-on experiences and collaborative projects will refine skills and deepen understanding.
