This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." ---Lao Tzu--- My students are on a journey of discovery and enlightenment. My goal is to facilitate this part of their journey.

Our school is a small school of about 600 students located in the Williamsburg portion of Brooklyn.

Students at our school focus on architecture and design, and upon graduation can earn Career & Technical Education (CTE) endorsed diploma in Architectural Drafting & Design. In addition, 6 college credits can also be earned. Our school's mission is to provide a quality education while developing valuable and marketable skills that will provide our student with a unique advantage in the work force and/or higher academic institutions.

My Project

Our needs are basic. My students need basic school supplies (including pens and pencils)and a work file folder for each students, enabling each student to organize their work. To minimize the impact on learning, I would like to make available to my students basic school supplies (over 80 percent of my students receive free lunch). By removing the economic barriers, I hope to provide all my students equal opportunity for learning.
