First grade is a wonderful year for learning new things. Six and seven year olds love to socialize, play and just be kids. We are blessed to have a small school campus with about 175 students. As a result, we are able to get to know all the students and develop close relationships with them. We are also a Title 1 school so we work very hard to close gaps in learning and reading.
My first graders are energetic, curious, and eager to learn.
They love to ask why and share stories and create art about their experiences. So as we wind down the end of a very crazy year of distance learning, masks and social distancing, we look forward to some end of the year normalcy by creating final projects to place in our portfolios so we can look back on some very special memories.
My Project
These bare necessities will ensure that my students and I have the basic supplies to run a daily classroom. We will be able to sharpen our pencils to write and draw, use crayons to color what we draw, get creative with sharpie pencils to spice up our art projects, create books, holiday tiles, and much, much more.
Teachers and kids need everyday school supplies so they can get the most out of their teaching and learning.
Simple, basic supplies keep our classroom going from one day to the next. Planning and creating are easier when the appropriate supplies are at the ready.
