My students are like my own children, we are truly a school family. These 6-7-year-olds come to school every day ready to learn and love their school family as much as we love them. Every morning they are greeted with a hug, high five, or handshake where we then start our morning meeting where we share good things. More than half of our students come from low income families and are doing everything they can to change the world. It is so rewarding to work with these amazing kids and watch them grow into the leaders they are. It is my responsibility to ensure that I am giving them the best learning experience they are able to receive, where they feel loved, valued, and have all of the materials they need to excel in and outside of the classroom. My Project
These resources will be used every day by my students. The pencils and pencil sharpener will not only be used as tools for their lessons but also to help build fine motor skills for them. The pencil dispenser will help them to have their materials handy, in an organized and neat place where they can go and get them as they please. The crayons are everyday tools used in a first grade classroom that will excel in learning and help students express creativity. These bare necessities will ensure that all of the students in my class have an equal start and have the supplies and materials that they need to learn to the best of their abilities.
The hole punchers will be used to help build fine motor skills while they are learning.
They will be using these for morning work and throughout the day for other tasks.
