This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My school is a Title I school located in the inner city of Atlanta. My students are a group of high energy students that love to stay engaged in things that will help them learn. They enjoy playing educational computer games and working with educational manipulatives to figure out new ways of solving problems. They are a driven set of individuals who embody the willingness to learn at its highest. Although their backgrounds are diverse, economically and culturally, they still have the drive to be the best no matter their circumstances.
My Project
The materials requested will make a difference in my students learning by providing them with items needed to support their educational endeavors. The pencils will be used to help them create and record information needed to learn on a day to day bases. The pencil sharpener will help them reuse the pencils needed. The erasers will be used for correcting mistakes made while working on math and writing assignments. The dry erase markers will be used to show what they know on our classroom white boards during our carpet time. All of the resources will help support my students learning by allowing them to share their thoughts and ideas with one another.
