I am a special education teacher. I teach a self-contained emotionally and behaviorally disabled class. The children in my classroom are not allowed to bring a backpack to school because they bring toys, and other objects to school that are not appropriate. I have been searching for something the children can use to take notes, homework and small books home. The Take Home Backpacks are the perfect solution. They are made of clear material and this will keep the children from bringing things to school that are not appropriate. The reasons the children cannot carry backpacks is logical, but the children need to carry backpacks. Clear backpacks are the solution. The children can have backpacks and learn responsibility and the adults in their life, parents and teachers, can monitor what they bring to school. I know these backpacks would benefit my classroom, the children I teach come from very low income households and their parents struggle to provide pens and pencils; I need help providing these backpacks for my students. Thank you for reading my proposal and I appreciate your help.
