This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a MacBook Pro to get my students college ready. Out with the old, in with the new! The time has come for me to teach my students 21st-century skills. I am ready to do everything in my power to get my students college-ready.

My students are at the age at which they are writing essays.

At this time and age, children are fascinated by all of the upcoming technology. What better way is there to introduce my students to technology while enhancing their writing skills?

With your help, I would like to obtain a MacBook laptop for my students to type and print their essays. In fourth grade, part of the California standards states that students should be able to type their writing. Not only will this laptop serve the purpose of typing essays, but my students will also have the opportunities to use educational programs such as iReady Reading/Math, Lexia, DreamBox, and Raz Kids. These programs support learning in reading and math.

I want to expose them to multiple writing tools at school since my students' families aren’t able to provide such technology at home.
