My students are seventh grade science students. They attend a school in a high-needs, inner-city district in New York state. We are Title I school, with most of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
Our district is low on resources and as a result, many supplies need to be purchased by individual teachers.
My students are eager and interested in learning new things, yet our district's lack of resources hold them back from learning to their full potential and becoming as engaged in science education as they could be.
My Project
This year, all of my students are required to participate in the science fair. This means that not only do they have to complete an experiment, they must also create a presentation on a tri-fold board.
Many of my students do not have the money to purchase their own supplies needed to complete the science fair project, so I would like to be able to provide the supplies that they need to be successful.
I am asking for tri-fold boards and they supplies needed to create an eye-catching presentation for the science fair. I hope to help all of my students to be successful!
