My Students

The first grade students in my classroom are so enthusiastic about learning and exploring the world around them. Naturally they are extremely kind and compassionate towards each other and seek to make friends with everyone.

My first grade students love hands-on, active, and engaging projects in science or art where they are able to express their creativity.

I love how diverse our classroom is with some students having special needs, some who are second language learners, and students who are gifted and love to be challenged. It is amazing to watch them grow and make progress together. They inspire me to be a more inclusive, passionate, kind, and proactive citizen.

My Project

My students are young and as a teacher I recognize that because they are so young that they need experiences to help develop the whole child. Art gives them those perfect experiences to develop motor skills, creativity, spatial reasoning, and even language skills. Art brings life, joy and fun into the learning experience.

With so much screen time at home and at school, I know that art will make a difference in my classroom and let my students build essential skills while having fun!

These students need the opportunity to learn to grow their imagination and learn to be creative.
