Help me give my students a chance to interact with art through the use of technology.

My Students
Visual Art, with its many disciplines from drawing to sculpture, should be an avenue for this creativity and an outlet for expression. How can a student get exposed to Printmaking if there is no printing ink and very limited paint? How can we teach a student that they will not be doomed to a life of failure if they do not excel/are not interested in math and/or science? I teach them about the many opportunities that knowing how to flourish in your creativity may bring. I teach a very large student body of about five hundred students. Many of these students are considered homeless, as our school services a large number of the motels in the community. Close to one hundred percent of those students qualify for free or reduced price meals throughout the week, making us a Title One school. As you can imagine, these circumstances add challenges. In addition, our population of students is growing in who may have an intellectual, emotional, as well as learning disabilities. Although our students face these challenges daily, they are intrigued by the arts and come to class eager to learn something new each day. Unfortunately, with limited resources, it becomes very difficult to do so.
My Project
Thank you for considering to fund my project! My school includes a wonderfully diverse group of roughly five hundred students who come to school eager to learn everyday. I currently teach Visual Arts to kindergarten through the fifth grade. In an effort to better facilitate a STEAM classroom, there are a few tools that we need to help accomplish this goal. We are in need of iPads to interact with technology in a way that would allow them to enhance their art-making. I am excited to see what we can create with this new medium as elementary school learners.
