Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a Bilingual Charter School. Because it is a Title 1 school, and we are in a low socioeconomic area, we are lacking more art equipment. We need art tools such as crayons, paint, and other supplies beyond the dollar store budget that we have.
These students are just learning how to be creative students who are hungry to expand their knowledge of the artistic diversity in our world.
I do not want them to lose interest in learning simply for the lack of resources in my classroom and in their homes. When you love school, you will always love to learn. Art is therapeutic and is essential for life long learning! Help me open doors for my students.
