The Amazing Human Brain

Help me give my students a cross section brain model for learning about growth mindset and supplies to make crafts.

My Project

At the beginning of the school year, I start by teaching students about brain development as well as the fixed mindset and growth mindset. This gives students a scientific background to understand that you can physically change your brain through learning. By visually representing how the brain works and how it changes through learning, helps students understand that their intelligence and abilities can be developed. A brain model would be a powerful tool for teaching growth mindset.

Building a classroom culture of growth mindset changes how students approach their learning and helps them build the habits of mind to be successful within and beyond the classroom.

In addition to the brain model, I am requesting items for the children to make some beaded crafts. Engaging in beading will offer a range of cognitive and mental well-being benefits like improving fine motor skills, enhancing concentration, reducing stress, fostering creativity.
