Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Being that I work at a low income school, I want to provide my students with the best materials. I want to create an environment that is comfortable and safe for them and ultimately make coming to class exciting.

The specific items I am requesting will surely make a difference in their learning by motivating them to be engaged, behave, and participate in class.

I have items such as candies, plushies, Pokémon cards, notepads, pencils, Legos, fidgets, and even an awesome claw machine. I find that having a treasure box in my classroom and rewarding students for behaving, being a good student, showing respect, and participating in class are all great motivators in their academics. If students are motivated, they do better academically. Moreover, I have included a cotton candy machine to use as an incentive for good grades and special class occasions. These items would be a great addition for my classroom.

I have also included items such as a cart to organize student materials and allow students to easily find materials. All items will be beneficial to my students and classroom.

I truly believe that my students deserve these items. I wish I could give them everything. They deserve so much because they work so hard every day to make their teacher proud. I have the most amazing students with such amazing personalities!
