Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We will be conducting a few professional development sessions and want to keep our participants engaged throughout the entire day. The stress balls will be used as a tools to show how teachers can use fidgets in the classroom to help students with attention and hyperactivty. The timer sare also useful for managing group activiites and table talk. We have a few handouts and an opporunity to lead a lesson that infuses student generated art. The after lunch slump is a common experience for attendees and by having a few interactive experiences that can be translated into classroom activities we are hoping to keep their attention until the end of the day. These items will also then be gifted to students in the school year by our participants.
