Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I now have the privilege to teach and inspire our youngest students! I teach 20 of the sweetest, hard-working kids you'll ever met! I have 16 boys and 4 girls. They all have the sweetest smiles! We are a Title I school that prides itself on making sure that all students know they can succeed. The majority of our children are eligible to participate in the free lunch and breakfast program. My students are kindhearted and are determined to do their best every single day!
My Project
I am requesting supplies such as sketchbooks, binder clips and multi-cultural crayons for my prekindergarten classroom. Each student will receive their very own sketchbook. The pages in the sketchbook are very thick so colors will not bleed through to the other side. The students will use these books to start telling their stories through illustrations. We will use the multi-cultural crayons and markers for our storytelling illustrations. We will also use the binder clips to show the students what page in their sketchbooks they are currently on. These storytelling books will lay a strong foundation for writing as they students get older.
