Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a poster printer for my Gifted classroom! These students are fascinated with Computer Science! We are working on coding- both plugged and unplugged. For both, students have loved poster sized mats to work with. I have had to purchase the posters on my own. I would be fine with that; however, the students have continued to work on these activities throughout the school year and with various themes and/or holidays. It does become costly.
Students are engaged, persevere, thinking critically, and interestingly HAVING FUN while learning computer science concepts.
I would be thrilled to have easier access to poster making for students to work with. I could even have students create their own work mats. I also see how I could utilize the poster maker in other areas of my classroom teaching.. boogle boards, mandala coloring for SEL... the list could go on!
