it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I adore teaching and my students deserve some appreciation reciprocated back to them. I want the students that are with me now and those future students assigned to me in the many years to come to walk into my science classroom and see their eyes widen in excitement over the things that are in their faces.
Science works because we can believe in what we see.
If my classroom looks like an empty prison cell well then that's how they will treat it. If they walk in and see animal skeletons and other science models they can touch perhaps that feeling of I'm not good at science will leave long enough for me to squeeze a message into their heads before they become boring adults.
