My Students

High School Chemistry can seem like the one of the most daunting classes. It is my mission to have students engage in the material creatively so they have an enjoyable and productive academic experience in my class. We are an inner city school and the potential to reach many students is available if we had the correct resources. The kids in my class are highly motivated and love to be pushed! Our focus is how can we use chemistry to better our community.

My Project

The School is going to love the new additions from the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest! With the new technology, the students are going to learn many new 21st century skills! The students will now have access to computers to be able to research topics and type papers much more efficiently. We will also develop skills such as using drones to analyze modern issues like erosion from spring run off. the students will also be able to learn new laboratory techniques by using a spectrometer to do cutting edge research. This will help students at our school be prepared for the job force for years to come! Thanks Samsung!
