Help me give my students writing tablets, privacy folders, headphones, chair pockets, pencil sharpeners, literacy games, and other supplies that help us be more successful in our classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We will use writing tablets in the same format as we would use dry erase boards. The difference is that students enjoy them more, and thus, are more engaged. In essence, they are learning. In addition, now we won't have to use so many white board markers and won't have to deal with the mess of dirty erasers AND with the cost of replacing markers constantly.
Name plates would be used for holding student name tags so that students always have a resource to use when practicing their counting addition, subtraction, and writing (alphabet chart and number chart is on their name tag).
If name tags are in a name plate, they will be protected and students won't play with them. In essence, the resources on them will stay looking new all year long, which means they will have this resource all year long. I LOVE that these are durable/washable and therefore, will be used for the rest of my career. These items can even be donated to another teacher when I retire.
I am so excited to use the literacy games during literacy stations. These games are sturdy and will be used to reinforce reading skills.
Headphone-Yay!!!! These are a perfect addition to our classroom, so that students are able to hear the skills that they need to practice when they are using their math and literacy learning programs.
The laminator and ink will help me create realia for students, especially my second language learners. These items will allow me to create, print, and laminate sight words, pictures, and any resource that we need throughout the year. The fact that they are laminated will allow for them to be used time and time again.
