My Project
I absolutely love how curious, creative, and resilient my students are. Each day, they come to class eager to explore, ask questions, and grow—not just academically, but also as individuals. They bring diverse perspectives, unique strengths, and so much heart into our learning space, which makes teaching them an absolute joy.
The materials I'm requesting—hair nets, gloves, aprons, metal trays, name tags, a doctor coat, stethoscope, and a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card—will help me transform our classroom into a "Text Feature Surgery" experience.
This room transformation will turn a standard reading lesson into an immersive activity where students take on the role of “text surgeons,” identifying and analyzing nonfiction text features in a fun and memorable way.
This kind of engaging, interactive learning boosts comprehension, builds confidence, and creates lasting learning moments. With these resources, I can bring the lesson to life and make every student feel excited to participate. Thank you for supporting our classroom and helping me bring this learning adventure to life!
