it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we gear up to take the SBAC in May, I would like to give my students the resources to become confident test takers. During the SBAC it is crucial that they have privacy from their peers so that they can fully concentrate on their task at hand. Many of our headphones are damaged and old. I would love to be able to put together a testing kit for each student in my class. This would include a binder, a pair of headphones, a stress ball, and pencils.
Motivation is key when taking the SBAC.
I would like to pass out snacks each day to my students. Many of them eat breakfast in the morning, but then do not eat again until our lunch at 1:00. They are usually starving by this point! It can be hard to concentrate if you're hungry.
