Words cannot describe how excited I am to have my first classroom! Due to the fact this is my first year teaching, I am trying to grow and expand my resources! In addition, our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
My school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the city, where students speak a multitude of languages.
As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics. Everyday I make sure to welcome my students with a smile on my face and in return they exchange a smile back, ready for to learn and succeed. Despite many hardships my students may face, they are eager and put in their best effort. They know that in our classroom is never about a perfect outcome, it is instead about the risks and effort put forth. My students certainly deserve a successful and engaging classroom, where they can become life long learners.
My Project

My students are in need of additional test prep materials to help work their minds and prepare for the common core assessments every student is required to take.
I am looking to receive a variety of reading and math passages for the diverse needs within our classroom environment. In addition to test pre materials I am hoping for some resources to keep these materials safe and will hopefully be able to use them each year. This is why I am also seeking page protectors and folders with clips. I hope to use these with Expo markers so students can use these passages again and again.
