My Project

My students are some of the most determined, kind-hearted, and inspiring young people you could ever meet. They face significant challenges, yet they come to school every day ready to learn, connect, and grow. Each one of them brings a unique spark to our classroom, and I’m constantly amazed by their resilience, creativity, and the joy they share with the world.

We are seeking an iPad to help my students with disabilities build essential life and vocational skills that will support them beyond the classroom.

This technology will open up countless learning opportunities and serve as a powerful tool for communication, independence, and personal growth.

With an iPad, my students will learn to communicate professionally through emails and messaging apps—key skills for future jobs and daily living, use calculators to build functional math skills for managing money, time, and work-related tasks, organize their schedules with calendar apps—learning to track appointments, responsibilities, and routines, access visuals, videos, and interactive apps that support various learning styles and make abstract concepts more concrete, and practice self-regulation and focus through mindfulness and task-management tools.

For students with communication challenges or cognitive disabilities, an iPad can also act as an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device and offer accessible, customizable support across many areas of learning.

Your generosity will help us bridge the gap between school and the real world, giving my students the tools they need to thrive with confidence and independence.

Thank you for believing in them!
