Students are using the cookie scoops to practice portion control and follow multi-step recipes, helping them create consistent, high-quality products. The can openers are supporting students as they build fine motor skills and independence during food preparation tasks. The labels have been especially meaningful, as students are now able to professionally package and brand their baked goods, practice product identification, and prepare items for sale. One truly special moment occurred when students packaged their first full batch of cookies using the new labels. They proudly admired their finished products, comparing them to items they have seen in stores, and were excited to share their accomplishments with staff. Your support helped create that moment of pride and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were filled with excitement and curiosity. Many students immediately wanted to try the new tools and were thrilled to use equipment that made them feel like professional bakers. Several students commented that they felt like they were working in a \"real bakery,\" which boosted their motivation and engagement. Your donations have also helped reduce frustration for some students by providing tools that are easier to grasp and operate, allowing them to participate more independently and successfully. We are deeply grateful for the opportunities you have created for our students to grow and succeed.\r\n\r\nAs we continue developing our classroom business, students will expand their roles by practicing order taking, managing inventory, handling money, and tracking sales data. The funds generated through these sales help support off-site vocational experiences where students practice job interviews, ordering and paying for meals, grocery shopping, and building workplace social skills. Your generosity is helping provide authentic, hands-on learning experiences that directly support our students' transition into employment and independent adult living. We are truly thankful for your support and for believing in our students and their bright futures.","fullyFundedDate":1766067738679,"projectUrl":"project/cooking-up-careers/9724782/","projectTitle":"Cooking Up Careers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ault","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9708702_orig.png?crop=435,435,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730385094118","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9708702"},{"teacherId":9969249,"projectId":9173091,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for donating the supplies needed to bring the musicals to life! Your gift has made a real difference in our classroom, allowing me to purchase materials that directly support the learning and growth of my students with intellectual disabilities. With these resources, students have been able to engage in hands-on activities, practice life and vocational skills, and explore new ways of learning that are both fun and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for our students has been seeing their work come to life. Whether it's designing advertisements for our classroom business, practicing math and money skills, or completing interactive lessons, they are motivated and proud of what they accomplish. Several students who typically struggle with attention and engagement have especially warmed to these new materials—they are more confident, focused, and eager to participate than ever before.\r\n\r\nThe technology and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers allow students to learn in a way that meets their individual needs. It helps bridge gaps in understanding, encourages independence, and gives them immediate feedback that reinforces positive learning.
