My students need touchscreen Chromebooks to be introduced to our school technology. Students will learn how to log in to Google classroom. They will receive guidance to complete basic class assignments using G-Suite.
My students are English learners. The majority have a first language that is Armenian or Spanish. There is a population of over 76% Title I socioeconomically disadvantaged students.
These students are eager to learn and participate in school activities.
Students and parents participate in STEM night, talent show, star-gazing night, and after-school programs such as Academic Chess.
Many of my students do not have access to computers or tablets at home. They enjoy school. Technology has been a great motivator for them.
My Project
Our students in Kindergarten and First grade need access to technology to prepare for upper grades. Students will learn how to log in to Google Classroom and access assignments. They will practice using Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, and Forms in fun, interactive lessons with the guidance of the classroom teacher and technology support teacher. Students will enter the upper grades with confidence to engage in technology as teachers plan projects that go more in-depth and focus on creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. I am excited to give students a chance to interact with technology to enhance their learning experience and prepare for the future!
