it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all diagnosed with autism and non-verbal. They benefit from continuous access and exposure to language in a way that appeals to their senses and unique learning styles. Providing my students with an iPad that has a language software program would enable them to engage in meaningful social and communicative interactions with each other.
Although I have been fortunate enough to have been provided with a free copy of an new and amazing language software program, I lack an iPad in a protective case to install it on.
Being able to utilize a tablet with a language system would give a voice to my students so they can greet, request, affirm/deny, comment and ask and answer questions to each other. Having this technology would provide my students with the auditory, visual, and tactile experiences they need so their language and social skills can continue to flourish.
