My students need Interactive exciting educational fine motor and visual motor activities to promote improved reading, handwriting, scissor skills and independence with activities of daily living.
I am an occupational therapist in a wonderful community. My students are comprised of students with disabilities currently receiving therapy services. I also run programs for Kindergarten to help encourage fine motor and handwriting skills. At times I work with students who are at risk and in need of suggestions and interventions to prevent decline.
Our children are resilient, fun, creative kids who love to move and engage in a wide variety of activities.
We like to make therapy fun and engaging. These kiddos come to school every day and try their very best and it's a pleasure getting to do what I do.
My Project
I would love to be able to bring fun and exciting activities that can also provide academic support for reading, writing and math. These materials will provide fun learning opportunities while working on underlying deficits that impact student participation in classroom activities. Student will build, create, and draw. They'll work on scanning and eye hand coordination while looking for letters. They'll learn to replicate 3D models and get valuable time working with manipulatives. These tools will allow general education and special education students the chance to develop their skills while having fun!
These supplies will also help with the development of a school wide handwriting program to help increase our student's and teachers handwriting.
