My Project

In the fall, the 6th grade classrooms will be transferred to a new section of our middle school while they renovate our classrooms. Due to the process taking longer than expected, we will not be in our typical classroom to start the year. We may move back to our original classrooms halfway through the school year or not until the following school year.

Receiving these materials from Donors Choose will allow our classroom to have the same warm, welcoming, and safe environment I feel is necessary to create a culture of learning.

The inability and uncertainty of opening all of my packed boxes will not allow for my classroom to be decorated come fall. As I have already started to "tear down" my classroom to pack, I can feel the impact it has already created on myself and my students.

By receiving these materials, I feel as though I will be able to satisfactorily be able to set up my classroom to the best it can be possibly be for the time. Even though this will be a temporary set up, I think it will make a lasting impression on the students. I would love to be able to then use these materials when I get back into my permanent home.
