Telling Time

Help me give my students a better chance at learning how to tell time.

My Students

Our students commute from a radius of fifty miles to our smaller school district. We have a number of students open-enrolled from neighboring districts. Our district is made up of four communities embracing our district as a family. We have approximately 240 students in grades preschool through twelfth grade.

Our students are driven to help others succeed.

They take time to help others along the way instead of only looking out for themselves. They push themselves to go above and beyond.

My Project

These analog watches would help our students in grades 2-4 better understand how to tell time on an analog clock. Our classroom data tells us our students struggle with analog clocks and telling time.

These watches will not only help them tell time, but they will also help each student feel special.

By giving each child a watch, the students will know how much we care about them as individuals and how much we care about their learning experiences. Once each child has a watch, all of our teachers will be tasked with asking each of these students the time of day when they see them in the hallways.
