My Project
I'm baffled at how many middle schoolers can't tell time on an analog clock! I've seen this phenomenon steadily increase over the years, which really shouldn't be surprising since everything is going digital. I plan on using the "telling time clocks" with moveable hands and the card games/flashcards to teach my students how to tell time—not because I'm old-school, but because telling time on an analog clock requires some brain power. In this day and age where answers can be found on Google and papers written by AI, it's really important that students learn how to problem solve, and why not start at the beginning with telling time? The interactive clocks and flashcards will add to the fun of learning this skill! Other basic school supplies I've requested (colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks) will definitely help with student success as our school serves students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. Thank you!
