Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our population includes English language learners, special needs students, newcomers, and refugees. We are a superfamily of all shapes, colors, sizes, cultures, and abilities!

We talk about our community, discuss our future, learn to "aspire for the impossible," embrace differences, and follow our dreams.

I am always on the lookout for new materials to increase students engagement and participation. Teachers Pay Teachers website offers an almost unlimited supply of ideas, hands-on lessons, book companions, and arts and crafts materials. Having a gift card from this website would allow me to make quick purchases as I see student gaps and needs in communication and overall development. The caterpillar game would be great for our visual and hand-on learners. And "Don't Touch that Flower" book is perfect for this time of the year.
