My Students

We serve a diverse population of students. Many are very excited about the content and the joy of learning and knowing new things to high levels of mastery. However, the standard provisions in Art class were restricted due to the lock down. Although we were able to provide appropriate technology, students are still in dire need of Art supplies.

Our students are motivated to explore the world of the visual arts and increase in areas of knowledge, talents, gifts and skills.

We need to provide the different types of media for students to practice particular skills in rendering, painting, printmaking and the appropriate paper substrates.

My Project

Since we are in virtual learning communities due to the lock down, many of our students do not have access to travel out to the Blick store in Washington DC to buy supplies and sometimes parents are unable to accommodate the expense of art materials.

Lock down has been an interesting time for students.

We study art as a form of communication. The visual arts is a successful vehicle of self-expression, communication and persuasion. Students are creating a digital file that includes each piece of work, being expressions of the days of our lives in these times of complexities.
