Telescopes on Campus Give Students Chance to Stargaze into Space

Help me give my students the opportunity to study the night skies. With the effects of COVID on field trips in addition to the cost and responsibilities, this project will allow me to offer students on campus the opportunity to use telescopes.

My Students

My students are curious and desire to learn. From class to clubs to competition teams, learning is related to science, technology, math, and art. We seek more options for hands on learning and experiences related to what we are learning about. My students prefer experiential learning that afford them skills they believe they will use. I also like bringing skills and experiences to them that they never imagined they could grasp, yet they do.

My Project

Current trends in space exploration should transcend studies of the same into our schools in order to make students aware of what is out there in space. I sponsor a space club and integrate current events and historical information from Sputnik to Starlinks using resources from the Space Symposium to NASA. While I can provide learning experiences through video and some hands on activities, students need that real view. These telescopes will help me to guide students to observe what is visible in the night sky on our high school campus. We welcome your help.
