My Students

I teach enthusiastic students who are excited to make their marks in the world. Like so many communities across the United States, we have endured economic upheaval and redefinition over the last few decades. Nonetheless, my students are resilient and eager to learn everything they can about writing, literature, rhetoric, and life. They are also eager to do good in our community and in our world. By giving students constant opportunities to do amazing things, we empower them to change anything and everything.

My Project

Now that I'm out of school for 30 days, I thought it would be a perfect time to study for the TEFL exam. TEFL certification will allow me to better serve students for whom English is not a first language.

This online course will not only prepare me for the TEFL exam, but it will also help me to rethink ideas for teaching my ELL students both in the classroom and online.

As the world continues to change, we owe it to our students to change too. My district has many more ELL students than ever before. I would like to use my month of quarantine to learn and study. This online course is perfect for my needs. Thank you.
