Help me give my students some fun and engaging activities to do during homeroom class. These games and activities will provide a perfect brain break and allow them to collaborate in groups and problem solve!
Students visit their homeroom classroom every day for 34 minutes. During this time we have social emotional learning lessons, study hall, study skills, and other team-building activities.
Junior high students need opportunities for a brain break without the use of technology in their day!
Our junior high students went 1:1 this year with Chromebooks. While this has enhanced learning and classwork immensely, the students tend to turn to online games as a source of a brain break in homeroom.
I'd like to create those team-building and social opportunities for these students without their devices. This can allow them time to charge their laptops, as well as laugh and engage with others for a short time during their long school day.
