My students are fabulous multilingual learners who are full of curiosity, energy, and a love for hands-on learning! I love to host family involvement activities throughout the year that bring my students' families to our school. The activities allow families to connect with each other while building background experiences. I want to plan a "par-tee" on our playground where families will be able to play on a portable nine-hole golf course.
I am requesting golf clubs, wiffle balls, and a kid-friendly golf bucket set to create an engaging and inclusive family-school involvement event.
For many of my students, this will be their very first introduction to the sport of golf and they want to share that joy with their families.
Golf offers more than just physical activity. It teaches patience, problem-solving, and precision; all of which support academic growth in areas like math, science, and social-emotional learning. By incorporating golf into a family night at school, I'm not just creating a fun, low-pressure environment for families to connect with their children’s education, but I'm also building a space where language barriers fade away through shared play and laughter.
