My Students
My students have been totally virtual learners since the start of school in September. They come from low-income families in a district with limited financial funds. The challenges these students and families are facing do not stop them from actively joining and tackling the challenges of virtual learning. We have quickly created a wonderful bond even though we are virtual.
My students come to class each day excited to see what we will be learning!
They get so excited to hear new stories and to see what new learning activities I have created for them. It’s amazing to see how much they have already grown given the restrictions of our learning environment.
My Project
I would like to purchase books with a teddy bear theme to be read during "Teddy Bear Week", which will be our final week before taking our winter break.
I would like to purchase two books per student to keep and read at home.
We will be using the books throughout the week to study story elements, such as characters, setting, plot, and story events. We will practice sequencing story events too.
We will have a culminating "Teddy Bear" party on the Friday before break. I will be delivering these books with a teddy bear as a gift for Christmas and an exciting week of learning.
