This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The aim of this project is to assist in implementing a practice element of using teddy bears and toys in the classroom during winter. The bears act as a transitional object that will provide comfort and stability to calm anxiety and stress, especially for those who struggle with emotional regulation.

Students are taught in the classroom to care for community culture, conflict resolution, and respectful discussion with these supplies.

During the winter months, students go through different types of emotions. When children lack a secure attachment from home, it can result in challenging behaviors, and difficulty in learning issues. I want to use the teddy bears, toys, and pens as a way to provide more cheer in the classroom. Students can use them as an emotional support system.
