My Students

My third graders strive each day to do their best. They are hard workers, eager to learn, and always persevere while keeping a growth mindset. Our school is overcrowded, so technology materials are limited. Students learn best when given the appropriate tools, are taught how to access technology, and the importance of using materials appropriately and responsibly.

Technology supports learning while fostering engagement and responsibility.

Eight year olds need to learn the foundational skills of technology in order to keep up with the rapidly advancing technological expectations. Technology supports learning for students at all developmental levels, encourages creativity, allows students to work together as well as individually, and keeps students engaged when given the appropriate tools.

My Project

Our school district requires common assessments, but our school does not have adequate tools for students to complete in a timely manner as we share 30 computers for 100 students.

Third graders need the Chromebooks requested in order to keep up with the rapidly advancing technological expectations.

Technology supports learning for students at all developmental levels, fosters students' social, emotional, and mental well-being, encourages creativity, allows students to work together as well as individually, provides and alternate way of learning regardless of ability, and keeps students engaged. Technology also promotes student responsibility.

Materials requested align with ELA(W.3.2, W.3.3, W.3.4, L.3.2) Math(3.OA.A.3, 3.NF.A.1, 3.NBT.A.2, 3.MD.B.3, 3.MD.C.6) Science (3-PS2-3, 3-LS2-1, 3-LS3-3, 3-ESS2-2), Social Studies(SS3.18, SS3.13, SS3.25, SS3.28), and SEL(1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, 3A, 3B, 3C, 4A, 4B, 4C, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 5E) Nevada Academic Content Standards.

Students must keep up with the latest advancements in technology to keep up with the requirements of education, but our school doesn't have enough computers to support the large demands of what is being asked of students.

With your help, the Chromebooks will help my current and future students have additional learning options and make more effective use of instruction time if we have Techy Tools to learn and facilitate district common assessments.
