Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Like for most, no two days have been the same this year. However, my students have met every day with a smile and incredible effort and enthusiasm! They are so happy to be back in the classroom and eager to learn. Even when they are required to stay home, they are still working hard to keep up with their assignments and stay ahead. I absolutely love walking into my classroom every day because of these kiddos! They are the best example of resilience, strength, and passion for learning that I have ever seen!
My Project
I use the projector in my classroom on a daily basis. Using technology in the classroom has been a huge help during this time. Having a handle device like an iPad to aid in my teaching can help to make even more information accessible to students while quarantined.
This iPad will allow me to write, draw, integrate curriculum material instantly and project it for my students while I walk around the classroom and offer hands on help.
I will also be able to send the same content to students unable to attend class due to quarantine requirements in an instant, instead of having to wait until a later time. Being able to have this handheld tool will allow me the mobility to move around the classroom to monitor and help while still being able to access information and students work in an instant.
The availability of information and resources this will allow my students and myself in the classroom makes this tool invaluable!
