TECHNOLOGY...Danceology!

My students need 16 tablets to comply with state standard-based, teaching. This tech integration will help cover lessons with dance history, kinesiology, and vocabulary.

My Students

When you walk into my dance room, your soul is now Free, and the mission is to be vulnerable to the movement as you can possibly be. Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, and your breathing. Dream. Believe in yourself. Work hard. Enjoy the process. Love the art. Dance with your heart.

My students are some of the hardest working dancers I know.

They not only practice hard and represent their school proudly, but they also maintain high GPA's. They are also dedicated to helping others in our community through participating in multiple community service activities. We have a true family, training nine months a year and bonding during their off time!

My Project

The students will use these tablets to utilize apps and online websites that reference dance history, vocabulary, and kinesiology. I will be able to create interactive lessons, study games, and online quizzes to enhance the learning of dance and its origins.

My goal for my students is to be able to create the most fundamentally sound dancers as possible.

As the saying goes, knowledge is power. Without reliable access to computers, the best way is to provide a sense of dance appreciation through technology. This project will assist in lowering expense cost in the dance department. Because we are a low income school, and this is a newly established dance program, there's no funds for our department. We could use the community's helping hand.
