This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Project Based Learning Classroom, we integrate technology into our existing curriculum which has increased student engagement and fostered so much excitement! Some of the ways we have been incorporating technology in our classroom are creating interactive Hispanic Heritage Month slideshows on Google Slides and designing New York State travel brochures on Canva. We have also researched people who have overcome obstacles and written biographies about them. We even take quizzes and other assessments online!
There are so many exciting projects I have planned and additional technology will make this possible.
With new Chromebooks, our class will play The Stock Market Game (SMG) to build a fundamental understanding of investing, preparing ourselves for financially independent futures. With new Chromebooks, we will have the opportunity to learn through interactive digital programs such as Waggle, Class Craft, and Amira. With new Chromebooks, we will participate in Service Projects, focusing on Animal Advocacy which will be enhanced through Padlet, a digital bulletin board that fosters collaboration in the classroom.
The sky's the limit with additional technology in our classroom, and we can't wait to see what we are able to discover and create!
