My Project
I have seen firsthand how flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, students have the option to choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
The products that I have selected will help my students by continuing to provide them with additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.
Computer Labs tend to be mainly rolling office chairs and desks. Sort of cold and impersonal. However, my new room has the space available to create a more inviting atmosphere for my students. The beanbag chair washable cover will allow me to continue to provide my students with more relaxed floor seating options. The armchair washable cover will also allow me to continue to provide my students with additional alternative seating.
While a lot of the work my students will be doing will involve the computer stations, I will also be teaching subjects, such as Accounting, Business Technology, and Personal Finance, which will allow students to utilize the more comfortable seating options.
When my students walk into my classroom, I want them to be excited about their lesson for the day and to feel like they have stepped into a welcoming, safe space!
