Our school is a rural Louisiana elementary school, with almost 400 students ranging from Preschool to 2nd grade. Our whole school receives free breakfast and lunch.
My class is a diverse group of kids.
I have 3 special ed students and 3 students that receive speech services. My class is full of thinkers and problem solvers, talkers, and helpers, but most of all they are eager to learn and please. I have a mixture of high, middle, and low kids.
My Project
Chromebooks will be used by all students in my room to differentiate learning. Chromebooks will benefit my SpEd students by letting them work on skills that will help them to close the gap between them and my regular ed students. My grade level students will have activities that push them to the next level to increase their reading fluency , comprehension, and mathematical thinking.
All students will benefit from using the Chromebooks due to the fact that state testing in upper grades has all gone to digital format.
This will help students to be familiar with typing and manipulating material on the screen.
