Ms. Fanz from Saint Louis MO is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need tablets to facilitate learning in literacy and math. Updated technology is essential to build excitement and 21st century skills!

Many of my students face struggles and challenges in their daily lives but I see their dedication, and the joy they find in learning is truly inspiring.
We work together to create a learning community where everyone is safe and feels valued.
During their time in my class, I work to show my students the rewards hard work brings, as well as to show them that our unique differences are to be celebrated and respected.
I teach in a Title 1 school, with the majority of students receiving free or reduced lunch. While our families want their children to be successful, and there is great community support for the schools, I know that many students will not come to school prepared with the necessary supplies. I do my best to ensure that all students have what they need academically, physically, and emotionally during the time they are in my care.
Currently my students only have access to unreliable, out-of date desktop computers. However, using technology during the learning process is a great way to build excitement and to display the learning that is happening. In today's world, being technologically literate is an essential skill, and the classroom environment must reflect that.
We are requesting an iPad and case for our classroom.
Incorporating iPads into our classroom would make technology mobile and would allow students to use it in authentic learning experiences. Students could access educational games to reinforce learning, check and correct independent work while I meet with another small group, listen to and read books from an online library, and create movies to teach others about their learning! The possibilities are endless.
