See what Ms. Love is requestingMy students need a new iPad. One of ours broke and now our technology center only has 3. We use the iPads for math and literacy, but we have 4 students per center. Please help us.

"Childhood is journey, not a race." (author unknown)
This quote has always spoken to me.
I work hard to create a classroom community where students take their time to explore and discover the world and who they are. They need time to develop and flourish and I want to give them plenty of time and resources to shine and grow. We all have so much to learn from our students.
I have 24 transitional kindergartners from diverse families. They have different backgrounds, speak different languages, and some have multiple households. We are a TK-5 school in California with a little over 400 students. My families are extremely supportive and are asked to give all year long. They want the best for their children and do whatever they can. I am hoping that organizations like this allow me the opportunity to give back to them as well and create more opportunities for my students.
We love our iPads, but one of them broke beyond repair. We use the iPads to practice literacy and math skills. We also use them to listen to read-a-loud stories online.
Technology reinforces the skills we teach in the classroom.
It is wonderful to have technology in the classroom. During center time the class is divided into groups of four. Since one iPad is broken, we can no longer use them for center time, but we do use them for choice time.
In TK we especially love Letter School, ST Math, Mystery Doug, Go Noodle, and Storyline Online. All of these sites reinforce academic, social emotional, and gross motor skills. We are so lucky to have many different modalities at our fingertips. It makes learning fun and engaging.
Please help us keep our centers alive. We are hoping to quickly replace our iPad without a long period of disruption. Everything you do helps!
